Wait, Are You Taken?

oh my goodness. what even happened this week?! where did the time even go?! it was a longgg week but I HIT 8 MONTHS like HOW INSANE IS THAT?! missions are so weird... BUT THE BEST THING EVER! 🥳😁

- our apartment just has a big open window where any and all are literally welcome in because you can see everythinggggg 😂🥳 SO many of our new friends (because you know, we just have to say hi to anyone and everyone just walking by) watch us study, plan, have lessons, sit at the small white table every.day. i think they're convinced that's all we do... i mean we kinda do haha BUT how weird is that. Three 19 and 20 year old girls just looking like we're hangin' out! but why're we always in dresses? Why're we ALWAYS on calls, in meetings? Why'e we the happiest girls ever? We probably look SO weird to literally everyone haha but we're LITERALLY SAVING SALVATIONS when these people see us, changing lives, witnessing miracles, studying the scriptures! AH... how cool is that? 💪👍🏼🤞🤘🤙💟💢

HOW BOMB ARE MY COMPANIONS??

This week was GOOD! We found 3 new people to teach! We meet at parks for a lot of our lessons! While we wait for our friends to get there, we usually just walk around, while we we're walking around the other day, 2 people came up to US and starting asking questions! ohhh GOD IS SO GOOD!

We had church IN PERSON where 2 of our friends CAME TO CHURCH 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 the best day! I also got to watch my little bro give his talk in sacrament over zoom! LIKE HOW COOL IS TECHNOLOGY?! he's just so awesome. 

 

Alrightttttt to add onto the obviously bomb week... have you ever heard the talk "come what may and love it?" (do it) wellll we put that into action this week 😁😁😁

DISTRICT COUNCIL !!! it was like a 30 minute drive to a park so we were just drivin' having a good time, we got to district council which was BOMB with our like 12 elder friends then right after had a lesson! We quickly put in the address and got there! quickly realizing this wasn'tttt the park we usually meet with tammy (who we confirmed with 5 minutes earlier and begged her to get out of bed to meet us there...) we put it into google maps andddd well, we were a good HOUR away in the COMPLETE OPPOSITE direction 💥😂😁 #milesaregone ohhhhh my goodness i don't think we've ever laughed harder in our lives. Crying because we were laughing so hard, we did 3 laps around the car and blasted some disney music all the way home. As for TAMMY, she was at the park ready! SHE even started laughing when i was evicted the bearer of bad news so that was really just a miracle in of itself that we all just decided to LAUGH. Like why not LAUGH?! BUT tammy told us she was laying in bed and was going to stay there the rest of the night when we called her to confirm with her and get to the park but since we got her out of bed, she decided since she was already out and about she would go stop by a friends house. BECAUSE she did that, she answered that friends prayer that was MUCH needed that morning!!!! OHHHH God is just so GOOD. The church is true. Everything happens for a reason. 💟💢🤩🥳💯

- To add onto the come what may and love it, we FINALLY sat down and texted over TWENTY people offering service to them and got SO many responses! OH WE WERE SO EXCITED!!! To then, that night get a call from president to all of us missionaries that we cant do service anymore 😁🥳 #goodthingwehavefaith !!! Dying laughing was the only thing we could do 💥

Lastly, as a mission we all decided to fast this week. A 24 hour fast. A much needed fast. An ACT OF FAITH. How amazing is it that we get to put our faith into action and literally go 24 hours without food or water and just completely TRUST and hand things over to our SAVIOR to our LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER?? Fasting really is just so so cool. It can be rejoicing really, if you make it (;

- THE GOSPEL PLAYING FIELD                                     🏈🏐🏀🥎⚾️🏉⚽️

Choosing a foundation. A FIRM and STRONG playing field. One you just know you're going to win on. 

1.         Decide NOW which team you're going to be on and COMMIT to it. Who's team are you going to help and give them your all? Joshua 24: 15 <3

2.         Remember which way to go to score: 

It's not about acting on faith ONCE, reading the scriptures ONCE, praying ONCE. 

Alma 37: 40- it's DAY BY DAY. Continuing, staying steadfast and REMEMBERING which way you need to keep going, what YOU need to do to score. (and then doing it again and repeating it over and over until the games over... WHATEVER IT TAKES 😉😁)

3.            To develop and FOLLOW a plan: (A plan that is going to annittially help you take advantage over your competitor)                  1 nephi 4: 6- Nephi had a plan. He didn't necessarily know before had what exactly the spirit wanted him to do but his PLAN was that he was going to do exactly whatever the spirit had planned for him. The plan is exactly what is going to get us to WIN in the end. If we don't have the plan or the "plays", it's a guessing game THE whole game. aka the WORST way to play a game... 

4.               Spiritiually workout: The small, the simple things. not working out ONE TIME and calling it quits. Just hoping you have a 6 pack by the end of that one time 😁🥴 (that takes some insane faith haha) Scripture study, prayer, just MAKING THE TIME. Right now SO many athletes are getting hurt because they haven't had the time to prepare and practice for games like they usually do. RIGHT NOW is the time to prepare more than ever.

5.                 Practice LIVING what you believe. It's not enough to just TALK about it. That one's pretty simple. 

6.                 Prepare mentally- keep your head in the game. This might even include making sacrifices. Why would you want to play the game with a 20 lb backpack full of rocks? Preparing mentally includes handing it over to him and taking action on faith and trust for what HIS plans are for you. BEING READY

7.                  Play EVERY down, being FULLY ENGAGED: Mosiah 4: 30- being fully engaged in your thoughts, your efforts, again letting go of that 20 lb backpack that you DON'T need and SHOULDN'T have.

8.                    Endure to the end: PLAY THE GAME. DON'T GIVE UP. JUST. KEEP. GOING. The only way in the end to fully ENDURE to the end is to be serious about your efforts !!!

9. ALRIGHTTTT OF COURSE LAST: ENJOY the game and journey called life! Make it more fun to play for OTHERS too! AKA THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!! making. it. fun. "Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy." 

 

I'm pretty sure it's a thing to "displease god" by not experiencing joy (; WE'RE LITERALLY HERE TO EXPERIENCE JOY! He's our loving heavenly father! That's all he wants for us! SO, bend your will. I promise i'll work on setting my pride down to bend my will to meet his if you do the same (; 

OKAY LAST THING OH MY GOODNESS HAVE THE BEST GENERAL CONFERENCE EVER AREN'T YOU SO EXCITED?! haha it's like christmas day as a missionary... TV FOR 8+ HOURS ((; haha PREPARE NOW. ponder on questions! questions you need answered and i PROMISE you will hear them <3 I LOVE YOU ALL HAVE THE BEST WEEK !!!!!!!

Welcome Home Sis. P

  This girl is on fire. She absolutely loves serving our Savior and teaching His gospel. She has exerted her light, spirit, energy giving all she had into serving but her little body just couldn’t keep up. This decision was not made lightly and included many doctors, tears, tests and prayers. She fought with all she had to stay but mission medical was firm. A resting heart rate of 39 doesn’t sit well with them. It is dangerously low. In order for her to live a healthy adult life she needed to return home where she can focus on her health rather than running herself into the ground giving to everyone around her. Many tears have been shed but she knows with her whole heart she left it all out in the field. She gave everything she had. We could not be prouder and are so excited to welcome her home!!! WASN'T CONFERENCE AMAZING?! A whole 8-10 hours of chastisement! haha really nothing better (; AH WE GOT TO LISTEN to the prophet himself! And his AMAZING apostles. How cool is it that we literally just got 2 days worth of THEIR time for OUR reward and benefit! That just seems to be how The Gospel works! For our own good! They're just so good. The church is just so true. Conference is christmas weekend as a missionary getting to watch SO MUCH TV! and eating like none. other... you always manage to leave conference in the "WOWWWW i could be doing SOOOO much better" mindset (eating wise too) haha i know i'm very very good at having the "be better" mindset right after conference! It's a gift really (; BUT i mean of course that's what conference is for! So that we CAN be better, so that we CAN become more like Christ in ALL. WE. DO.
