Yikes! I forgot to name my weekly!

HELLO HELLO!! haha if you made it through last weeks email.... you're a good one. (; wanna know something CRAZY?! well here's like 10 things because everything on a mission is just crazy and SO GOOD.
1. we'll start with bad/sad... this is sister lewis and i's last week before she goes home... that's all i'm gonna say about that because... touchy subject ðŸ˜‰ ðŸ˜ž well, that's the only sad thing haha CUZ THIS WEEK WAS SO GOOD and God's just SO GOOD (have you heard that enough from me yet)
2. Sister lewis and I gave a training to the WHOLE mission! haha well, all the social media specialists did!! We DID however, speak last, which means following 6 mono-toned elders, we got MANY texts after about the BURST of energy and beautiful smiles we happened to bring to the call ðŸ˜‚ we got told we're legends and everyone knows about us and our companionship.. We hope that's a good thing! ðŸ˜‚ we celebrated with ice cream, cookies and popcorn haha a big mistake but it was fun! One thing i've learned from her (from the MANY) is she is NOT late. she is ON. THE. DOT. and if you're late... the wrath haha. you get the question "what is this?! mormon standard time?!" it's like living with drill and cheer all over again ðŸ¤¦‍♀️ (; haha it's so awesome. she's so awesome.
3. WE GOT A REFERRAL AND SHE CAME TO CHURCH (virtually) BUT AHHH HOW AMAZING IS THAT?!?!?!!? she's literally the best ever and her name is cindy! BUT GET THIS! we got a book of mormon referral from someone else too! (he just requested a BOM and a plan of salvation pamphlet) BUT we went to get a pamphlet to take and we. had. none. i was like THERE'S NO WAY. so, me being a typical weird missionary says a prayer and looks again and there was ONE. LEFT!!! amazing!! BUT this is the crazy part. so we took him one (walking there because he didn't live crazy far. you also feel like a celebrity walking the busy streets because EVERYONE stops and stares haha it's so fun you just wave so happy and proud) BUT CINDY JUST HAPPENED TO BE HIS NEXT. DOOR. NEIGHBOR.... HOW. INSANE. IS THAT?! God's just so good if you can't already tell
4. Remember Josh?! HE DIDN'T GHOST US!!!!!! he just got his phone taken away haha typical. love that kid. He even still wants to have lessons!! ðŸ¥³ðŸ¥³ðŸ¥³
5. How could i forget!... WE'RE OUT OF QUARANTINE!!!!!!!!! kind of... haha we can GO INTO HOMES (with masks of course) and have lessons with people IN. PERSON. who knew that would be a thing again!! (haha kidding i had faith) ESPECIALLY FOR SISTER LEWIS'S LAST WEEK WHATTTTT. crazy stuff. we did take advantage tho and have been talking to literally every single thing that breathes at this point ðŸ˜‚
6. This week, we made "hobo bags" AKA just some bags for some of God's beloved homeless children ðŸ¤— haha it was so so fun and the reward is just watching their faces, SO WORTH IT.
We also went to chick fil a and got asked if we were sisters! typical sister peterson and lewis, we were SO excited and yelled YES! we thought someone ACTUALLY knew who we were not nuns or monks haha until we realized they meant like REAL sisters... at that point we already drove away but it still works! haha they said we were really cute but we get asked if we're sisters a lot and get told we're the same person ðŸ˜‚ two. of me. could you even imagine (;
7. We texted the carson family (members that we hadn't met yet) and asked if we could bring them treats so we could meet them! We told them we were on our way and THEN decided to look up their address when we found out it was an HOUR away and we were already (very) over on our miles for the month.... (shocker) the next moment consisted of looking at eachother and deciding we'll make some calls after, sooo ROAD TRIP!! haha well we thought it would be the time of our lives until we soon realized it was allll country back roads and we had to take MULTIPLE stops on the way because at that point we were doing everything in our power from puking ðŸ˜‚🤗 OHHH it was so fun. (We made the calls later and got a few more miles haha we're really good at that) (;
8. we also got to speak at a member baptism and realized we most definitely cannot sing hahaha oh goodness this week was so good. what. a week.
THE BEST PART! SPIRITUAL THOUGHT OF COURSE!!!
okay this is all from someone that gave a talk in our virtual church meeting this week so all the credit 100% given to her!
she spoke about 5 steps that throughout the most recent april conference the prophet and apostles gave on finding peace during dark times ❤
1. turning to the savior and his atonement
- he loves to and will ALWAYS restore, heal, fix, compensate and permanently mend... (WATCH THIS VIDEO https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/…/2019-12-0090-the-woun…)
2. JUST. KEEP. TRYING.
- give your best, have MANY fresh starts if you need to!
- COUNT ON THE ANGELS HE SENDS (miracles and blessings) SEEN AND UNSEEN ( i love that one.. seen and unseen, they're literally THERE we just have to LOOK and WANT to see them) ask for them!
3. PONDER ON PAST SACRED MEMORIES AND EXPERIENCES
- okay pause.
- have you ever thought of that?! that past experiences happened for a reason?! that you had a past sacred experience for something you might need today and NOW to remember?
- BELIEVE those memories and experiences, THEY DID HAPPEN! they're stories to help you NOW and ones you have NOW will help you LATER
- ASK YOURSELF QUESTIONS about the experiences. why was he there in that moment but for some reason you might not feel him now? what's different? when have you heard him? when have you seen his hand? etc. and WRITE THEM DOWN!!!!
4. be an example of the believers
- the feeling of light will be with us even if the world around us gets darker!

5. express gratitude everyday!!!!
- are you too casual with your "transplanted" heart?? NOURISH it! fill it with only the best! gain your own personal witness of his work! of the miracles he performs, OF HIM! cuz THAT testimony, THAT foundation, is really what's going to get you through. it's really what is going to provide peace during all of this! you can't rely on anyone else's testimony, on anyone elses beliefs. you have to know for yourself! mmmmm k i love you all haha HAVE THE BESTEST WEEK🥳🥳🥳

Welcome Home Sis. P

  This girl is on fire. She absolutely loves serving our Savior and teaching His gospel. She has exerted her light, spirit, energy giving all she had into serving but her little body just couldn’t keep up. This decision was not made lightly and included many doctors, tears, tests and prayers. She fought with all she had to stay but mission medical was firm. A resting heart rate of 39 doesn’t sit well with them. It is dangerously low. In order for her to live a healthy adult life she needed to return home where she can focus on her health rather than running herself into the ground giving to everyone around her. Many tears have been shed but she knows with her whole heart she left it all out in the field. She gave everything she had. We could not be prouder and are so excited to welcome her home!!! WASN'T CONFERENCE AMAZING?! A whole 8-10 hours of chastisement! haha really nothing better (; AH WE GOT TO LISTEN to the prophet himself! And his AMAZING apostles. How cool is it that we literally just got 2 days worth of THEIR time for OUR reward and benefit! That just seems to be how The Gospel works! For our own good! They're just so good. The church is just so true. Conference is christmas weekend as a missionary getting to watch SO MUCH TV! and eating like none. other... you always manage to leave conference in the "WOWWWW i could be doing SOOOO much better" mindset (eating wise too) haha i know i'm very very good at having the "be better" mindset right after conference! It's a gift really (; BUT i mean of course that's what conference is for! So that we CAN be better, so that we CAN become more like Christ in ALL. WE. DO.
