Until Someone Knocks on the Wrong Door

Wanna hear some of the best news ever?!?! 1. SISTER LEWIS and I lasted the first transfer call !!! πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³ forrrrr another 2 weeks (; seriously hunger games! do you even know how fun it is to be STUCK with someone all day every day if all you do is laugh?? Well, its MOST OF THE TIME the best thing EVER πŸ˜‰ The
"social media specialist assignment" gets the best of us. ITS SO STRESSFUL! BUTTTT ITS THE BEST THING EVER! I finally LOVE IT!!! I'm the oldest one so they made me take charge... WHAT?! sister lewis was an STL for FOUR transfers and admitted social media is way more stressful! Haha dont worry, theres lots, LOTS of days we still have to go get chipotle or some menchies to keep us from calling president to take us out of the assignment (; President is starting to realize he made the BEST MISTAKE putting us together... we're known as the newest joke of the mission- "alright who bribed president to put sister Lewis and Peterson together" haha oh it's so good. We've gotten so good at scaring missionaries like none other. Sister Lewis loves to make people chunky by her AMAZING baking so of course we have to take them to everyone! (also might be excuses for human interaction, also so WE'RE not the ones gaining the weight and eating them all) haha when we take them, we BANG on the door, jiggle the handle and run πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‚ it's all kicks and giggles until we do it to the wrong door... We can be serious sometimes but like what's the fun in that?? Besides sharing the gospel, we definitely get serious about that stuff, but in a fun way of course because who doesn't like joy?! it's pretty awesome. we've gotten so good at breaking ELDERS out of their little shells πŸ˜‚ i think they're of course taken back a little at our loudness at first but we're so good at scaring them, haha they warm up pretty quick i'd say. especially after making them send carpool karaoke videos and having joined lessons with them and Josh (the teenage boy we're teaching) because he talks about girls the whole time to "get advice"... SO naturally, we called out the elders (who have never had girlfriends) to answer the questions πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ just helping them for future situations! πŸ€—πŸ˜‚ 2. GUESS WHAT ELSE?!? we've OFFICIALLY HIT 100 days in QUARANTINE πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³ President in april 2020: "alright everyone get ready for 14 days of quarantine, go stock up @ the store"..... 86 days later and still going strong, happier than ever.. most of the time !! πŸ˜ SO. MANY. MIRACLES!! who knew god was just SO good!!! Not gonna lie, weekly planning (when we plan... for the week) has been ROUGH in quarantine cuz like what do you plan for?? (The amount of times were going to go on a walk to stay sane??) πŸ˜‚ BUT we DID IT and GUESS WHAT?! BEING OBEDIENT IS THE BEST THING EVER! We had THE BEST lessons this week with the people we're teaching!! (Rachel, sam and josh are progressing SO GOOD and just need to get dunked already!) Is that okay to say? They need to be BAPTIZED!! I'm pretty sure I cried in like 9/10 of the lessons... but I think missions just do that πŸ˜‰ THE SPIRITS JUST SO AWESOME. we also had like 4 POTENTIALS REACH OUT TO US!!! LIKE WHAT?!?!? we took cookies to president/sister ensign and some missionaries to celebrate how happy we were!! (We're REALLY good at regifting treats from people) πŸ˜πŸ€ 3. We did LOTS of service this week!! Including washing members' cars! Tesla's!!... SO much pressure. (Problems of a stateside missionary) haha we've gotten good at sticky noting sooo many doors and watching them blow away after 30 seconds cuz the biggest storm is literally 2 minutes away πŸ₯³ haha the storms were CRAZY this week! SO many power outages but kinda fun to try and live in a foreign country with 0 power (; 4. SO many adventures this week, including getting out the door by 7 am and going tooooooo.... the tire shop! PEP BOYS! haha where we met our new good pal mike funk. who really was just the KINDEST man! ..trying to get our numbers! πŸ˜Ž we explained it was another 2-for-one deal except this time with.. THE GOSPEL! Mike if you want to just learn about the man who died for you, is saving your salvation, your eternal family AND literally everything you ARE and DO... you can TOTALLY have it! Haha oh so good. Our days have somehow been SO. INSANELY. packed. It's so awesome!! Ah the best part, ronnie is just the best and still our best pal. Still knocking on the door about 2 times a day, keeping his 6 feet BUT this week we got KNUCKLES!!! Week. Made. He takes short walks with us to the garbage can a mile away (it feels like i swear) but that's okay cuz we get in a good arm workout while getting the best, ACCURATE representation of Jurassic park and dinosaurs (;
Alright, now that this email has become a talk... here's the good stuff. The missionary mindset... it's a thing. It's corrupted me. haha ALL i think about is the people we're teaching! Ill be at the store and see a cute shirt *i bet rachel would like that*, i read a book *dang josh would love this* haha IT'S SO AWESOME. AH I LOVE THEM. I think that's the hardest part, LEAVING THEM when you get transferred. We're just going to HOPE and PRAY President loves us enough to keep us together for another 6 weeks πŸ˜‰ a SHOT in the dark for that one. BUT okay okay we had zone conference this week. Aside from the scavenger hunt game we played which consisted of me almost splitting my head open, almost breaking my toe and actually shattering a lamp.. President gave THE best talk. Think about this. WHY would i come on a mission?! WHY do we face the HARDEST things in life?? WHY would we take a HUGE risk for something?? Likeeee moving for a job, coming on a mission, taking a new job where you have NO clue what's going to come from it... If one of the reasons for that thing was to LEARN how to climb the mountain, would you do it?? This thing you're about to do, the risk you're going to take, it's not going to BE the highest mountain- you're going to look ahead once you're on top of that first one and see higher ones because of course not all of them will be the same height! BUT taking that risk, you made it to the top, you became a better hiker than you were at the bottom, you gained all the right muscles you needed to look ahead and not be so intimidated by the next ones coming. Joseph Smith was in Liberty jail for around 4 months, guess what? It was known to be one of the closest things to a temple experience BECAUSE he received some of the most important revelations there! He didn't just GIVE UP... he came closer to Christ than EVER before. IN JAIL!! aka WE CAN TAKE ANY SITUATION AND TURN IT INTO LITERALLYYYYY feeling like you're in the temple. LIKE HOW INSANE?! We can let anything prepare us for the next mountain. How bomb?! How amazing is this Gospel? ATTITUDE, MINDSET, CHANGES. EVERYTHING. OH my, aside from the Book Of Mormon immitading shakespeare and being SO hard to read... IT'S AMAZING. The introduction? Pretty sure i've read it 167685 times restarting this thing BUT sister lewis pointed out a part to me that i'd never noticed before. THE BOOK OF MORMON literally PROMISES the COOLEST BLESSINGS EVER. please please read it! LOOK FOR THE PROMISED BLESSINGS!!! anywayyssss ah you are all the best and i hope you have the most amazing week! I LOVE YOU ALL! write down daily how you saw christ's hand that day!!
Love,
Sis p  (pictures are coming but we have a lesson first )
