SO.MUCH.GOODNESS

Hello hello!!!! Oh. My. It's been forever! I decided to give you all a break last week haha you're welcome. Just kidding p day wasn't really a thing last week because transfers were insane! But that's okay because hard work pays off! IT'S BEEN THE BEST, WILDEST, LONGEST, HARDEST, FASTEST 2 WEEKS EVER!!! Let me catch you up. We went on so many adventures!!! Sister Monks and I knew our time was ticking so we just did everything we could and ate everywhere possible i swear ðŸ˜‚ mission weight is a real thing but not from members, just lots of burgers and fries ðŸ˜‚😂 we DID get MEAT LOAF from a member..... we decided to eat panera that night (; (our favorite restaurant) 
The maintenance men finally came and fixed the AC!!! Haha they were so fun. They came and told us everything bad about our apartment complex that we apparently were very blindsided of! Remember Tyrone?? Apparently him and the people living with him, all live above us and they were.... kicked out, sad day. Cops just showed up one day with some handcuffs :( Who knows why, but they seemed nice aside from their dumpster diving every single day ðŸ˜… He always bragged about the treasures he found haha oh goodness. It's the little things in life! (; A BLESSING for the AC tho! we don't have to go to bed DRIPPING. We at least got the foreign AND stateside mission experience ðŸ˜‚🥳 
Haha we were doing yard work for the amazing sister caldwell again and well, i opened the shed and evil twin bees attacked Sister Monks and I. I at least found out i'm a little allergic to bees! haha the experiences on a mission... yep... getting stung by a bee is one of them (;
We of course went to UC to workout! This time, was somethin new ðŸ˜‚ Darius Ashley... The JACKED Louisville football player that asked for my number haha. I was even DYING running!  Idk what he saw 😂 BUT i had no clue what our number was haha i had to explain to him that it was a two for one deal and what a companion was ðŸ˜‚ BUT he wanted to know more about the Gospel and we're going to start teaching him!!! It's become the joke of the mission tho haha EVERYONE somehow found out and everytime you see Sister Peterson you just HAVE to ask how darius is doing🤦‍♀️
Also at UC I almost got the ambulance called because this old man was so mad i wouldn't stop running around in 90 degree weather! Haha he wasn't happy but he was just watching out for me (; ðŸ˜‚❤
This week has been CRAZY so we seriously don't know how but the other people we're teaching are doing so good and ah i just love them! i just LOVE EVERYONE! it's SO hard for me to not just hug everyone i see haha. Gods so good. 
THE BEST PART!!!! I got a new COMPANION!!!! OH MY. You will all LOVE her holy cow. SISTER BRAILEY LEWIS. Look her up she's a cutie (; She makes me feel TALL haha who knew that was a thing (; we're the SAME person and basically just have a party sleepover every night and stay up forever laughing til we can't anymore... not sure what President was thinking by putting us together. It's really just laughing at EVERY. THING. We got to go to the airport TWICE to get Sister monks new companions so we got to hangout with president all day! ah so fun. 
Somehow I got put in CHARGE of ALL social media now! Not gonna lie... i kinda let sister monks take over because she was PRO butttt president loves to realllyyy challenge us so it's gonna be fun (; 
I got to give trainings to missionaries this week on how to make prayers more personal and how to better trust in God. That was SO SO cool! On one of our adventures this week we went on the COOLEST hike and holy cow. The spirit this week was just SO SO cool. Did you know we all sang in a choir in heaven?! LIKE HOW COOL! Music is seriously the coolest thing and so is nature! 
Last thing, REALLY best for last. We got to have a special devotional with just our mission and ELDER CHRISTOFFERSON! ahhh that man is amazing. He was apparently Presidents bishop and neighbor when they got married!! CRAZYYY!! It was all obviously SO good but one thing he talked about was the fact that we are ALL the apostles COMPANIONS! they literally think of us and call us their companions! They have to get this AMAZING Gospel to the WORLD and we're how theyre going to do it! We got to ask him questions at the end which was REALLY the best part! His advice for making prayers more personal was to just. pause. Don't rush. If you're in a hurry, make it SINCERE and short not just sped up and longer! Thank him! He's not going to be offended if in the middle of your prayer you have to stop and write something down. That's just a step to help you actually ACT on it. That's the hardest but most essential part! The ACTION. He basically helped me out on the training I gave on how to better trust in God because James 1:5 obvously one of the most important scriptures, probably THE most important but if you read vs 2-4 and look at the footnotes, he basically just says DON'T WORRY TOO MUCH. Why worry?? JUST. KEEP. ON. KEEPING. ON -Grandpa Peterson (; KNOW THAT HE KNOWS YOU!!! haha oh hes just so so good. I LOVE LOVE LOVE you all and hope you have the best week ever! This week I've been focusing on STUDYING the scriptures, look up words that don't make sense! (we all know it literally sounds like shakespeare and we can't understand them half the time) Look at the footnotes! Cross reference with the bible! ITS SO SO FUN! Really don't know how you did it if you made it to the bottom, go celebrate with ice cream or something haha i approve. LOVE YOU ALL!

Welcome Home Sis. P

  This girl is on fire. She absolutely loves serving our Savior and teaching His gospel. She has exerted her light, spirit, energy giving all she had into serving but her little body just couldn’t keep up. This decision was not made lightly and included many doctors, tears, tests and prayers. She fought with all she had to stay but mission medical was firm. A resting heart rate of 39 doesn’t sit well with them. It is dangerously low. In order for her to live a healthy adult life she needed to return home where she can focus on her health rather than running herself into the ground giving to everyone around her. Many tears have been shed but she knows with her whole heart she left it all out in the field. She gave everything she had. We could not be prouder and are so excited to welcome her home!!! WASN'T CONFERENCE AMAZING?! A whole 8-10 hours of chastisement! haha really nothing better (; AH WE GOT TO LISTEN to the prophet himself! And his AMAZING apostles. How cool is it that we literally just got 2 days worth of THEIR time for OUR reward and benefit! That just seems to be how The Gospel works! For our own good! They're just so good. The church is just so true. Conference is christmas weekend as a missionary getting to watch SO MUCH TV! and eating like none. other... you always manage to leave conference in the "WOWWWW i could be doing SOOOO much better" mindset (eating wise too) haha i know i'm very very good at having the "be better" mindset right after conference! It's a gift really (; BUT i mean of course that's what conference is for! So that we CAN be better, so that we CAN become more like Christ in ALL. WE. DO.
